Recording Revenue
• General Fund revenues increased dramatically when the new $30 
per document fee was implemented.
• Surcharge fee remained unchanged at $4 per document.
• Lowest historical recording volume on record in December 2022.
• Surcharge Fund revenue forecast of $2.6MM will create a $1.2MM 
structural shortfall based on projections of recordings.
• The Surcharge fund balance of $2.6MM on Jan. 1, 2023, will be 
exhausted by Dec. 23, 2023.
