REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
Agenda Item: 7B15
ACTION:  Approve a one-year contract renewal with Stabilizer Solutions, Inc. for Hilltopper brand 
products to be used to maintain ballfields at Diablo Sports Complex.
FISCAL IMPACT:  The total cost of the contract will not exceed $220,000. Sufficient funds have been 
appropriated in the General Fund, Cost Center 3282 (Diablo Stadium), for anticipated expenditures 
during the current fiscal year and next fiscal year, contingent upon City Council approval of the City’s 
annual budget.
RECOMMENDATION:  Approve the contract renewal.
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  (T22-144-01) City Council approved the contract award on May 
26, 2022, for an initial one-year period with four, one-year renewal options. This renewal request is the 
fourth and final renewal option. 
This contract provides for the supply of Hilltopper brand products, such as infield mix, conditioner, 
mound clay, warning track mix, and dustless conditioner used in the maintenance and renovation of the 
ballfields at Diablo Sports Complex.   These products are unique and specialized materials that meets 
Major League Baseball standards and have been approved for use by the Los Angeles Angels and City 
staff.
