A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 
OF TEMPE, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO 
APPROVE 
AN 
APPLICATION 
AND 
OPERATING 
AGREEMENT FOR A SCHOOL CROSSING WITH TEMPE 
ELEMENTARY 
SCHOOL 
DISTRICT 
#3, 
WOOD 
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 28-797 of the Arizona Revised Statues, the City 
of Tempe, by and with the advice of the school district governing board, is responsible for the 
placement of markings and signs for school crosswalks in front of each school building or school 
grounds abutting the locations where children are required to cross the highway or street; and, 
WHEREAS, Tempe Elementary School District #3 has requested that a new Application 
and Operating Agreement for a school crossing at Wood Elementary on the north side of Cornell 
Drive adjacent to the school be entered into.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
TEMPE, ARIZONA, as follows:
Section 1.  
That the Mayor is authorized to sign an Application and Operating 
Agreement for School Crossing with the Tempe Elementary School District #3 for a new school 
crossing at north of Cornell Drive at Wood Elementary School.
Section 2.  
That the City Manager or designee is authorized to execute such further 
documents and take such further actions as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this 
Resolution. 
 PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPE, 
ARIZONA, THIS 16th day of April, 2026.
