August 2026 – July 2027 City Council Meeting Schedule
A Special Calendaring Meeting has been scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., to set the 
August 2026 through July 2027 City Council Meeting schedule, including setting a date for a Council 
Retreat in January 2027 and the next Special Calendaring Meeting in April 2027. Additionally, the 
Council may decide on potential dates to meet jointly with the following entities:

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Council – typically once a year

Tempe Coalition for Affordable Housing Board (“The Affiliate”) – typically in March

Tempe Community Council Board of Directors – typically in February

Tempe Development Review Commission – typically in May/June and October

Tempe Historic Preservation Commission
Attached are three documents for your review:  
1) Draft August 2026 – July 2027 City Council Calendar 
Note: the meeting dates on the calendar are listed for discussion purposes and are in 
accordance with prior City Council direction to schedule the Executive Sessions and Regular 
Council Meetings (RCM) on the first and third Thursday of each month, with Work Study 
Sessions scheduled on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Typically, only one 
RCM is held in July. In addition, the Tempe Housing Authority Quarterly Meetings typically 
occur on a Thursday in January, April, August, and November.

3) Calendar Year 2027 Faith Based Holiday Schedule
