RESOLUTION NO. R2026.66
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
TEMPE, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER 
OR HER DESIGNEE TO ACCEPT GRANT FUNDING FROM 
THE MARICOPA ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS FOR 
THE PURCHASE OF A PM-10 CERTIFIED STREET 
SWEEPER.
WHEREAS, Maricopa Association of Governments is an Arizona Council of 
Governments and the City of Tempe is an Arizona political subdivision; and,
WHEREAS, The City of Tempe desires to purchase a street sweeper to aid in cleaning 
and maintaining Tempe’ streets; and,
WHEREAS, The City of Tempe submitted an application to the Maricopa Association of 
Governments for a street sweeper through the PM-10 Certified Street Sweepers Projects for 
fiscal year 2026 Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement funding; and,
WHEREAS, In accordance with the grant, the Maricopa Association of Governments will 
award the City of Tempe a grant for $378,946.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPE, 
ARIZONA, as follows:
1. That the City of Tempe accepts the grant award of $378,946 from the Maricopa Association 
of Governments.
2. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to distribute the grant according to the 
Maricopa Association of Governments award letter and execute such further documents and 
take such further actions as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Resolution.

ARIZONA, this 4th day of June, 2026.
