ACTION: Request a Planned Area Development Overlay to establish development standards for the 
existing MU-4 zoning district for TEMPE OASIS, consisting of the reuse of an existing hotel to multi-
family use with 142 units, including commercial, located at 1635 North Scottsdale Road. The applicant 
is Camber and True, LLC. (PL260032) This item was continued from the May 12, 2026 DRC meeting.
FISCAL IMPACT:
RECOMMENDATION: Approve, subject to conditions
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  TEMPE OASIS (PL260032) is requesting establishment of 
Planned Area Development standards for approximately 3 acres at the southwest corner of East Lilac 
Drive and North Scottsdale Road. The site currently contains a hotel which will be renovated to create 
apartments. A previous zoning amendment changed the zoning from R-4 to MU-4, but development 
standards were not established at that time. A Development Plan Review is currently in review for 
approval of the site and landscape plans. This item was continued from the May 12, 2026 DRC hearing.
