CITY OF TEMPE Meeting Date: 06/25/2026 REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item: 7B7 ACTION: Approve one-year contract renewals with Nutrien AG Solutions and Wilbur-Ellis Company for purchase of fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides to be used by the Community Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: The total cost of these contracts will not exceed $684,999. Sufficient funds have been appropriated in the General Fund, Cost Centers 3252 (Parks Maintenance-Admin), 3254 (Parks Maintenance-Rio Salado), 3255 (North Parks), 3256 (Parks Maintenance-RS CFD), 3258 (South Parks), 3282 (Diablo Stadium Maintenance), 3283 (Cemetery Maintenance), 3814 (Right of Way), and 3141 (Landscape Maintenance), for anticipated expenditures in the current fiscal year and next fiscal year, contingent upon City Council approval of the City’s annual budget. RECOMMENDATION: Approve the contract renewal and value increase. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: (IFB #22-141) On August 18, 2022, Procurement staff awarded this contract for the purchase of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and related products that will be used by the Community Services Department to maintain City parks, sports complexes, and golf courses. This is the fourth and final renewal option.
