REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
Agenda Item: 7B18
ACTION:  Approve a one-year contract renewal with West Yost & Associates, Inc. for on-site routine 
and emergency maintenance and support services for Aveva technologies.
FISCAL IMPACT:  The total cost of this contract will not exceed $100,000. Sufficient funds have been 
appropriated in the Water and Wastewater Capital Improvement Program Fund, Project No. 3204099 
(SCADA Improvements), for the anticipated expenditures during the current fiscal year and future fiscal 
years, contingent upon City Council approval of the City’s annual budget.
RECOMMENDATION:  Approve the contract renewal.
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  (WUD24-150-01) City Council ratified a two-year contract award 
with renewal options on August 26, 2024, to  secure certified Aveva Supervisory Control and Data 
Acquisition (SCADA) contractors for on-site, routine and emergency maintenance services. This is the 
first of three, one-year renewal options.  The City uses SCADA to operate and monitor critical water, 
wastewater and stormwater systems.
 
This contract will provide instructor training services, and as needed software patches and upgrades for 
these critical systems.
