RESOLUTION NO. R2026.70 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPE, ARIZONA, ADOPTING COMPREHENSIVE FINANCIAL POLICIES AND MODIFYING PRIOR POLICIES. WHEREAS, the City has previously adopted separate financial policies relating to operating budget, budget transfers, financial reporting, debt management, fund reserves, cash management, capital budgeting, property tax, and pension funding; and WHEREAS, the City desires to update, modify and replace those policies with a single comprehensive financial policy; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to develop an updated comprehensive set of financial policies that will serve as a framework for sound financial planning and decision making. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, as follows: That adopt the Comprehensive Financial Policies, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference. Upon adoption, these policies will update and supersede any previously adopted polices inconsistent herewith.
