ACTION:  Adopt a resolution approving awards, allocating funds and authorizing the execution of 
contracts for the Fiscal Year 2026/2027 Maryanne Corder Neighborhood Grants in the amount of 
$350,000 to neighborhood and homeowners’ associations for various neighborhood projects.

FISCAL IMPACT:  The total amount of the grant awards is $350,000. Sufficient budget for the 
$350,000 in anticipated expenditures has been appropriated in the General Fund (Fund 10) - cost center 
1217 (Neighborhood Services), the Water/Wastewater Fund (Fund 31) - cost center 3052 (Water 
Resources – Conservation), and the General Governmental – CIP Fund (Fund 67) - cost center 6710809 
(Green Infrastructure) as part of the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 adopted budget. Funding for the $350,000 
consists of $275,000 in annual recurring General Fund budget appropriation, $25,000 in small cell 
revenue collections designated to supplement the base annual Maryanne Corder Neighborhood Grant 
Program amount, $30,000 in Water/Wastewater funds, and $20,000 in General Governmental - CIP 
funds.
RECOMMENDATION:  Adopt Resolution No. R2026.72.
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  The Neighborhood Grant Program provides a portion of the city's 
annual budget for community-initiated capital projects that improve neighborhoods and are not covered 
within traditional budget allocations. The Grant Program requires resident participation and involvement 
in the selection, coordination, and completion of enhancement projects of the neighborhoods choosing.  
This grant cycle, the city received requests for funding for 37 projects from 29 Neighborhood 
Associations and 13 Homeowners’ Associations, with fifteen associations that coordinated efforts and 
submitted joint applications. 
Prior to final application, all grant projects were submitted for preliminary site plan review to verify 
compliance with city regulations. A team of city staff examined all grant applications, evaluated each on 
uniform criteria, virtually viewed project sites and voted to recommend 28 projects and designated grant 
amounts.
