REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
Agenda Item: 7C6
ACTION:  Adopt a resolution approving and authorizing the Mayor to execute an Intergovernmental 
Agreement with Tempe Union High School District No. 213 for College Connect Tempe, the City’s 
college and career readiness programming. (Resolution No. R2026.75)
FISCAL IMPACT:  No fiscal impact.
RECOMMENDATION:  Adopt Resolution No. R2026.75.
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  The College Connect Tempe program provides college and 
career readiness services and resources for students that support their enrollment and matriculation into 
post-secondary education. The City of Tempe entered into a previous agreement with Tempe Union 
High School District (TUHSD) that expires on 6/30/26. This agreement extends the current partnership 
term to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of College Connect Tempe services to Tempe Union High 
School District students and their families. The agreement also extends the parties' data-sharing 
arrangement, allowing for the continued exchange of student data necessary to coordinate services, 
monitor program outcomes, and evaluate program effectiveness.
