RESOLUTION NO. R2026.75 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPE, ARIZONA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH TEMPE UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 213 FOR COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS PROGRAMMING. WHEREAS, the City of Tempe’s College Connect Tempe Program provides college and career readiness services and resources for students that support their enrollment and matriculation into post-secondary education; and WHEREAS, Tempe Union High School District No. 213 wishes to obtain college and career readiness programming available from the City and the City is willing to provide such programming; and WHEREAS, the City and the District desire to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement to memorialize their partnership; and WHEREAS, the City is authorized by A.R.S. § 11-951, et seq., and City of Tempe Charter § 1.03 to enter into this Agreement, and the City Council has authorized the Mayor to sign this Agreement on behalf of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPE, ARIZONA, HEREBY: 1. That the Intergovernmental Agreement with Tempe Union High School District No. 213 is approved and the Mayor is authorized to sign the Intergovernmental Agreement; and 2. That the Community Health and Human Services Director (or designee) is authorized to take such further actions and execute such additional documents, including amendments, as are reasonably necessary or appropriate to implement the intent of this Resolution and the Agreement.
