RESOLUTION NO. R2026.82
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 
CITY OF TEMPE, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE 
MAYOR TO SIGN AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL 
AGREEMENT WITH MARICOPA COUNTY FOR THE 
LOOP 
101 
INTEGRATED 
CORRIDOR 
MANAGEMENT READINESS PROJECT. 
WHEREAS, the City of Tempe and Maricopa County have authority under A.R.S. § 
11-951 through 11-954 to enter into Intergovernmental Agreements; and,
WHEREAS, the City is authorized, pursuant to A.R.S. § 9-240 and §§ 9-276 et. seq., 
to lay out and establish, regulate, and improve streets within the City and to enter into this 
Agreement; and,
WHEREAS, the County is authorized, pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) 
§ 11-251 and §§ 28-6701 et. seq., to lay out, maintain, control, and manage public roads 
within the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 
CITY OF TEMPE, ARIZONA as follows:
1. That the Mayor is authorized to sign an Intergovernmental Agreement between the 
City of Tempe and Maricopa County for the Loop 101 Integrated Corridor 
Management Readiness Project.
2. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute such further documents and 
take such further actions as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this 
Resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
TEMPE, ARIZONA, this 25th day of June, 2026.
