RESOLUTION NO. R2026.84
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
TEMPE, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF THE 
FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 ACTION PLAN WITH APPROVAL OF 
THE FUNDING ACTIVITIES.
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has reserved 
approximately $1,575,957 (annually) in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tempe desires to participate in the CDBG program pursuant to the 
federal requirements and as required, has held one (1) public meeting, and held one (1) public hearing 
on June 8, 2026, allowing citizens and groups to participate in the determination of the expenditure of 
the HUD funds, and
WHEREAS, the City of Tempe has held a public hearing and launched a 30-day comment period 
from May 29, 2026, through June 28, 2026, to receive public comment on the City’s CDBG Programs 
Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2026-2027, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said plans and information provided and approves 
of the same. 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPE ARIZONA, as follows:
Section 1: Activities and proposed funding within the Community Development Block Grant, 
Action Plan for FY2026-2027 are hereby approved.
Section 2: Activities within the Annual Action Plan covering Fiscal Years 2026-2027, to include 
issuing solicitations, entering into and/or amending any necessary contracts and agreements, acquiring 
and disposing of property, and reprogramming any prior year allocations, are hereby approved.
Section 4: The City Manager is authorized and directed to execute the required certifications of 
compliance and written agreements associated with the City of Tempe’s Community Development Block 
Grant Annual Action Plan for FY2026-2027.
