ACTION: Approve a one-year contract renewal with Prenuvo Radiology for MRI body screening
services for qualified employees and their dependents.
FISCAL IMPACT: Total cost of the contract will not exceed $1,000,000. Sufficient funds will be
appropriated in the General Fund, Cost Centers 4167 (Employee Benefits) and 7225 (Cancer
Screenings), for anticipated expenditures during the current and next fiscal year contingent upon City
Council approval of the City budget.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the contract renewal.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: (T25-111-01) City Council awarded the contract on July 1, 2025
for an initial one-year period with four, one-year renewal options. This renewal is the first of four renewal
options. This contract provides for MRI body screening services to detect cancer and other common
diseases for qualified employees and dependents. The preventative care contract will be for eligible
employees and spouses/domestic partners who are at least 40 years of age and currently covered by
the City’s health insurance.
The City estimates the total number of eligible employees and spouses/domestic partners who will
benefit from this program include:
~868 Eligible employees over age 40
~357* Eligible dependents over age 40
*On a benefit year annual basis, either the employee or the employee’s qualifying spouse/domestic
partner or dependent may participate.
