RESOLUTION NO. 12544 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MESA, 
ARIZONA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO 
ENTER 
INTO AN 
AGREEMENT WITH 
VALLEY METRO RAIL 
REGARDING 
OPERATIONS, 
MAINTENANCE, 
AND 
FACILITY 
LANDSCAPING FOR THE EXISTING LIGHT RAIL LINE IN MESA FOR 
FISCAL YEAR 2026/2027.  
 
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Mesa, Arizona, as follows: 
 
Section 1: 
The City Council approves the “Annual Operations Funding Agreement FY 2026-
2027 between the City of Mesa and Valley Metro Rail 145-44-2026-19-00-AOFA” regarding 
operations, maintenance, and facility landscaping for the existing light rail line in Mesa for fiscal 
year 2026/2027 (the “Agreement”) and authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to execute 
the Agreement. 
 
Section 2: 
The City Manager, or his designee, may agree to, enter into, and make amendments 
and modifications to the Agreement as necessary to carry out the intent of the Agreement that do 
not materially alter the terms or structure of the Agreement as was presented to the City Council. 
 
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Mesa, Arizona, this 8th day of June, 2026.
