RESOLUTION NO. 12527 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MESA, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
APPROVING 
AND 
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF 
PHOENIX AND MARICOPA COUNTY FOR THE DISTRIBUTION 
OF GRANT FUNDS FROM THE EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL 
JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) PROGRAM UNDER WHICH 
THE CITY WILL RECEIVE $185,598. 
 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MESA, 
MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS: 
 
Section 1:  Approving and authorizing an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of 
Phoenix and Maricopa County for the distribution of grant funds from the Edward Byrne 
Memorial JAG program. 
 
Section 2:  That the City Manager or designee is authorized and directed to execute the 
Intergovernmental Agreement, and any related amendments or supplements thereto on behalf of 
the City of Mesa, and the City Clerk is authorized and directed to attest to the signature of the 
City Manager or authorized designee thereon. 
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Mesa, Maricopa County, 
Arizona, this 1st day of June, 2026.
