MESA, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
APPROVING  
AND 
AUTHORIZING 
THE 
ACCEPTANCE, 
EXPENDITURE, 
AND 
DISTRIBUTION OF GRANT FUNDS FROM THE U.S. 
DEPARTMENT 
OF 
HOUSING 
AND 
URBAN 
DEVELOPMENT FOR THE RENEWAL OF THE 
FAMILY 
SELF-SUFFICIENCY 
GRANT 
FOR 
OPERATION OF A FAMILY SELF SUFFICIENCY 
PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $86,000.  
 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MESA HOUSING SERVICES GOVERNING BOARD 
OF THE CITY OF MESA, COUNTY OF MARICOPA, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS: 
 
Section 1:    The City, as the Mesa Housing Authority, hereby accepts the renewal 
of grant funds in the amount of $86,000 funding, made available from the United States 
Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Family Self-Sufficiency Program. 
 
Section 2: 
The City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to accept this 
grant and enter into any necessary grant agreements, and any related amendments or 
supplements thereto, on behalf of the City of Mesa; the City Clerk is authorized to attest 
to the signature of the City Manager or his designated representative thereon. 
 
Section 3: 
The City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to expend 
and distribute the grant funds for the purpose of supporting the salary of a Family Self-
Sufficiency Program Specialist who assists participating families receiving housing 
assistance through the Housing Choice Voucher Program. 
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mesa Housing Services Governing Board of the 
City of Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona, this 26th day of March 2026.
