The Transportation Department and Procurement Services recommend awarding the contract to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder, AVI-SPL, LLC, in amounts not to exceed $155,000 for Year 1 and $10,000 annually for each subsequent year, with an annual increase allowance of up to 5% or the adjusted Consumer Price Index. Background / Discussion The first year of the contract will cover the furnishing, installation, configuration and support of a new wall processor system for the City’s Traffic Management Center (TMC) within the Mesa Transportation Department. The upgraded system will replace the existing video wall processor, which has reached end-of-life and end-of-support status. The current processor also poses a cybersecurity risk, as its software can no longer be updated to meet modern security and performance standards. Subsequent contract years will cover warranties, maintenance and repairs.
