Attachment 3 WEB POSTING OF NEW OR MODIFIED FEES DATED DECEMBER 23, 2020 The City of Chandler is considering new or modified fees. The fee changes are proposed for the Airport, Community Services, Development Services, Cultural Development, Fire, and Neighborhood Resources departments or divisions. First, the City Manager Department/Airport Division is proposing changes to the “City Owned, Aviation Fuel Services, Retail Prices”, “Airport Hourly Fee”, and “Security Fee”, and adding “Other Hangers”, “Hangar Cleaning Fee” and an “Office Leases” fee. The changes and fees are proposed to be effective March 1, 2021. Second, the Fire Department is proposing to add a $6,000 “Paramedic Program Student Registration” fee to accommodate other municipality/agency staff participating in the program. This fee is proposed to be effective March 1, 2021. Third, the Development Services Department/Planning Division is proposing a “Historic Preservation Neighborhood Application” fee. The application fee will be for both neighborhoods and residents. This reflects City Council adoption of the Historic Preservation ordinance on November 2,2020. The proposed fees would be effective July 1, 2021. Fourth, the Cultural Development Department/Museum Division is proposing to remove current museum room rental fees. In cooperation with the Museum Foundation, the Foundation will manage the rentals and fees collected going forward. The proposed fee removal would be effective July 1, 2021. Fifth, the Community Services Department/Recreation Division is proposing a new “Mini Field Preparations” fee option. The Aquatics Division is proposing “Swim Team Use (per Guard)” and “Lifeguard” fee changes, and changes to pool pass options for both youth and adults and the associated fees. The proposed changes would be effective July 1, 2021. Sixth, the Neighborhood Resources Department/Code Enforcement Division is proposing the removal of the “First non-compliance re-inspection fee” and “Subsequent re-inspection with continued non-compliance” fee, and replacing these with an “Abatement Administrative Fee” and “Demolition Abatement Administrative Fees”. These changes would reflect the City Code changes tentatively adopted by City Council on December 10, 2020. The proposed fees would be effective July 1, 2021. We have provided a link to these details in the Summary of Proposed New or Modified Fees that will be considered at the Regular Meeting of the Chandler City Council being held in the Council Chambers, 88 E. Chicago Street, on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. The proposed fees are being posted 60 days prior to consideration at the public meeting, to allow time for citizen review and comment. After City Council action, any approved fees charged by the Airport and/or Fire would be anticipated to be effective March 1, 2021 with any remaining fees effective July 1, 2021.
