ORDINANCE NO. 4972 
 
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, 
ARIZONA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4933 FORMING A CITIZEN 
BOND EXPLORATORY COMMITTEE AND SUBCOMMITTEES BY 
CHANGING THE SUNSET DATE FOR TERMINATION OF THE CITIZEN 
BOND EXPLORATORY COMMITTEE AND SUBCOMMITTEES 
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council created the Citizen Bond Exploratory Committee and 
Subcommittees through the adoption of Ordinance No. 4933 to promote and develop community 
outreach for the use of bonds for financing of City programs; and  
 
WHEREAS, the Citizen Bond Exploratory Committee and Subcommittees presented its final 
recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on the use of bond financing for City programs; 
and 
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council are calling a Special Election for the Chandler citizens 
to vote on the proposal for bond funded projects and no further meetings are of the Citizen Bond 
Exploratory Committee and Subcommittees are necessary; and 
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council appreciate the time, thoughtfulness and efforts of the 
Citizen Bond Exploratory Committee and Subcommittees and recognize that the work conducted 
by the Citizen Bond Exploratory Committee and Subcommittees has ended. 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, 
the 2020 Citizen Bond Exploratory Committee, and the subcommittees shall sunset on the 
effective date of this Ordinance.
