Subject: Resolution No. 5496 SRP 230kV Transmission Project Agreement
Dear Mayor & Council Members,
This letter is to express my support of the proposed Resolution No. 5496 authorizing
an Agreement with Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District
(SRP) regarding the location and under-grounding of the 230kV transmission system
in South Chandler.
The City of Chandler is the heart of the East Valley and continues to attract high-tech
and innovative companies. The proposed Resolution No. 5496 would allow SRP to
meet the power demands of Intel's planned plant expansion, demonstrating once
again, how your leadership makes Chandler a significant asset in the East Valley.
On behalf of Maricopa County, I again would lil<e to express my full support of
Resolution No. 5496.
