RESOLUTION NO. 5500 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, 
ARIZONA, APPROVING THE PARKS STRATEGIC MASTER PLAN - 2021 
 
WHEREAS, the Chandler City Council recognizes the need for a Parks Strategic Master Plan to 
provide goals, needs assessments, standards, recommendations, and strategies for implementation 
over a fifteen-year period in an effort to provide for and continually improve Chandler’s park 
facilities; and 
 
WHEREAS, the Parks Strategic Master Plan is needed to preserve open space, and rehabilitate 
existing city parks; and  
 
WHEREAS, it is necessary to develop a Parks Strategic Master Plan to reflect the City's growth 
and evolving park needs of the community; and 
 
WHEREAS, in order to address park needs in the future, the City of Chandler has sought citizen 
input through a survey and public input meetings, and that input has been incorporated with staff 
and consultant recommendations into the Parks Strategic Master Plan - 2021. 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, 
as follows:  
 
Section 1. 
Approves the Parks Strategic Master Plan - 2021.  
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, this 12th day of 
August, 2021.
