RESOLUTION NO. 5501

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, ARIZONA, DESIGNATING
THE CITY OF CHANDLER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIVISION AS CHANDLER'S
DESTINATION MARKETING ORGANIZATION ("DMO") FOR FISCAL YEAR (“FY”) 2021/2022;
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR THE CITY MANAGER'S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE
ANY DOCUMENTS AND INSTRUMENTS FOR PURPOSES OF THIS RESOLUTION.

WHEREAS, the City of Chandler Economic Development Division currently serves as
Chandler's DMO and has worked with the Arizona Office of Tourism (“AOT”) since FY
2000/2001 to promote and market Chandler tourism; and

WHEREAS, AOT requests the City of Chandler to designate a DMO and a
representative who is authorized to undertake official action related to Chandler tourism

for FY 2021/2022.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler,
Arizona, as follows:

Section’, That the City of Chandler Economic Development Division is
designated as the DMO for the City of Chandler for FY 2021/2022,

Section 2. That the City Manager or City Manager’s designee is authorized to
execute any documents and instruments for purposes of this Resolution.
