RESOLUTION NO. 5508 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, 
ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT NUMBER THREE TO THE 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL 
AGREEMENT 
FOR 
TRANSIT 
SERVICES 
BETWEEN THE REGIONAL PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY 
AND THE CITY OF CHANDLER TO PROVIDE FIXED ROUTE BUS, 
PARATRANSIT, AND RIDECHOICE SERVICES FOR FISCAL YEAR 
2021/2022 IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $789,030.    
 
WHEREAS, the City of Chandler desires to provide Fixed Route Transit, Paratransit, and 
RideChoice transportation services to its citizens, including those with disabilities and the elderly; 
and 
 
WHEREAS, a seven-year Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) to provide Fixed Route Transit, 
Paratransit and Ride Choice transportation services was entered between the City of Chandler and 
the Regional Public Transportation Authority (RPTA) dated July 1, 2018; and  
 
WHEREAS, an amendment to the IGA between the City of Chandler and the RPTA is required in 
order to, among other things, to reflect new rate schedules applicable to the Fixed Route Transit, 
Paratransit and RideChoice transportation services provided under the IGA for citizens of the City 
of Chandler. 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, as 
follows: 
 
Section 1. 
Approves the terms and conditions of Amendment Number Three to the IGA with 
RPTA to provide Fixed Route Bus, Paratransit, and Ride Choice transportation 
services to the City of Chandler for FY 2021/2022 (attached as Exhibit A). 
 
Section 2. 
Authorizes the Mayor to sign and execute the Amendment Number Three of the 
IGA on behalf of the City of Chandler. 
 
Section 3. 
Authorizes the expenditure of public funds in an estimated amount of $789,030.
