RESOLUTION NO. 5523

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER,
ARIZONA AUTHORIZING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
(IGA) BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHANDLER AND THE CITY OF PHOENIX
FOR THE AWARD OF THE EDWARD BYRNE JUSTICE ASSISTANCE
GRANT (JAG).

WHEREAS, City of Phoenix wishes to enter into an IGA with the City of Chandler for award of
the FY2021 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG); and

WHEREAS, the City of Chandler, through its Police Department, wishes to accept the award
through the IGA with the City of Phoenix;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona,
as follows:

Section I. THAT approval is granted for the Chandler Police Department to participate in the
City of Phoenix IGA.

Section I]. THAT the Chief of Police is authorized to sign the IGA and any Amendments and is
appointed agent for the City of Chandler to administer, execute and submit all
documents and any other necessary instruments in connection with said program.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, this day
of 2021.
