PROJECT NARRATIVE – IMPROVMANIA Use Permit / Entertainment Use Permit PLH-21-0067 ImprovMania is requesting a Use Permit and Entertainment Use Permit to operate with indoor and outdoor uses under a Series 07 Beer & Wine Bar liquor license at our Comedy Club soon to be located at 51 E Boston St. Chandler, AZ. 85225. The proposed business operations will utilize 2160 sq ft indoors as well as a small 355 sq ft outdoor patio to the north (the front of the building) and a larger 744 sq ft outdoor patio to the south (the back of the building). The lot number associated with this Use Permit / Entertainment Use Permit is 303-10-003B and the primary contact for this business is David Specht (480) 699-4598. We are going to be relocating our already established Comedy Club from 250 S. Arizona Ave #3 to a new location at 51 E Boston St. Our guests will still be able to enjoy attending one of our family friendly or unfiltered comedy shows, book a corporate event, have fun with karaoke or trivia, or attend one of our team building workshops and comedy classes. We will use voice amplification during our live comedy shows and a sound system with speakers that will play music in between comedy shows and during corporate events. During corporate events we will occasionally have live bands, a DJ's and/or dancing indoors. On the south patio (back of the building) will have two speakers to the right and left of the stage to be used during open mic night and for background music when there are no comedy performances on that patio. Live acoustic and amplified bands will also utilize the stage on the south patio – no live amplified music will occur on the north patio however there will be two speakers for light background music. These services and entertainment options are designed to create another unique reason to choose downtown Chandler for entertainment & recreation activities. We will be offering light snack foods, domestic/craft & imported beer, various varietals of wine, coffee, tea, and soft drinks for the kids. During corporate events, food will be catered from neighboring restaurants. Our hours of operations will be 5 days a week, Thursday through Saturday 4:00 pm until 12:00 am, and on Wednesday and Sunday our hours of operation will be 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. All live entertainment will occur within those projected hours. The total number of seats in our facility is estimated at 90 We will employ 2 people in the bar area and running tables. The alcohol will be provided primarily through walk-up counter service however during certain events or shows a more traditional, guest seated method of service may be provided. Parking – our guest will utilize on street parking as well as several free parking lots in the downtown Chandler area.
