RESOLUTION NO. 5540

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER,
ARIZONA, APPROVING A LICENSE TO ENTER AND USE A PORTION OF
THE SALT RIVER PROJECT AGRICULTURAL IMPROVEMENT AND
POWER DISTRICT PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE CONSOLIDATED
CANAL FROM GERMANN ROAD TO CHANDLER BOULEVARD TO
CONDUCT THE ANNUAL CITY OF CHANDLER FAMILY BIKE RIDE
EVENT.

WHEREAS, the City of Chandler desires to conduct the annual City of Chandler Family Bike Ride
Event on April 9, 2022, with in-person participants using a portion of the Salt River Project

(“SRP”) Agricultural Improvement and Power District consolidated canal from Germann Road to
Chandler Boulevard; and

WHEREAS, SRP is willing to license the use of the designated area; and

WHEREAS, the City will use the canal to safely facilitate and conduct the event for the benefit of
the general public; and

WHEREAS, the City and SRP have negotiated a License Agreement for such purpose.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona,
as follows:

Section 1. Approves the License Agreement between the City of Chandler and Salt River
Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District, in the form attached hereto

as Exhibit “A” and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 2. Authorizes the Mayor of the City of Chandler to execute the Agreement on behalf

of the City of Chandler.
