Resolution 5574-Accept ADOT APMS Grant

RESOLUTION NO. 5574 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, 
ARIZONA, APPROVING THE CITY ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT 
WITH THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (ADOT) TO 
ACCEPT A GRANT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $617,580 FOR AN 
AIRPORT PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (APMS) GRANT; AND 
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE 
GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO 
EFFECT THE AGREEMENT. 
WHEREAS, the City of Chandler (City) owns the Chandler Municipal Airport (Airport); and 
WHEREAS, the Arizona Department of Transp01iation (ADOT) periodically programs funds to 
municipal airpo1i facilities through its grant programs; and 
WHEREAS, the ADOT requires the City as the Airp01i Sponsor to sign grant agreements 
accepting said grants; and 
WHEREAS, the ADOT notified the City that the City is eligible to receive a grant in a sum not 
to exceed $617,580 for the completion of an airport pavem·ent preservation project; and 
WHEREAS, the ADOT grant will provide funding necessary for the completion of the project; 
and 
WHEREAS, to secure such grant funding, the City will accept the grant offer in a not to exceed 
amount. 
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona 
as follows: 
Section 1.

Approves and authorizes the City of Chandler, to accept an ADOT grant offer and 
agreement in an amount not to exceed $617,580 for the completion of a pavement 
preservation project. 
Authorizes the City Manager, or designee, to execute an ADOT grant offer and 
agreement in an amount not to exceed $617,580 for the completion of a pavement 
preservation project. 
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, this __ day
