RESOLUTION NO. 5587 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, 
ARIZONA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE 
THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO EDUCATION SERVICES AGREEMENT 
BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHANDLER FIRE DEPARTMENT AND DIGNITY 
HEALTH. 
 
WHEREAS, Dignity Health, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation d/b/a Mercy Gilbert 
Medical Center (“Dignity Health”) and the City of Chandler (“City”) desire to provide a qualified 
instructor to teach a neonatal resuscitation program class to students, firefighters, paramedics, or 
other attendees at Chandler Fire Department’s location; and 
 
WHEREAS, through Resolution No. 5491, approved on June 24, 2021, the Chandler City Council 
approved the Education Services Agreement (“Agreement”) between the City and Dignity Health; 
and 
 
WHEREAS, the City wants to amend the existing Agreement to extend its term to June 30, 2025. 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, 
as follows:  
 
Section 1. 
That the Mayor is authorized to sign First Amendment to Education Services 
Agreement between the City of Chandler and Dignity Health.  
 
Section 2. 
That the various City officers and employees are hereby authorized and directed to 
perform all acts necessary to give effect to this Resolution.
