RESOLUTION NO. 5600 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, ARIZONA, ADOPTING THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE EDUCATIONAL AFFILIATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN PHOENIX CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, INC. AND CHANDLER FIRE DEPARTMENT TO ALLOW CLINICAL TRAINING AND EDUCATION FOR PARAMEDIC STUDENTS. WHEREAS, through Resolution No. 5238, approved on June 27, 2019, the Chandler City Council approved the Educational Affiliation Agreement between Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Inc. (“PCH”) and Chandler Fire Department (“CFD”) (the “Agreement”), wherein PCH agreed to provide the requisite clinical training and education to CFD paramedic students to aid in meeting paramedic program requirements; and WHEREAS, the parties wish to extend the term of the Agreement for one (1) year and have the Agreement automatically renew for additional one (1) year terms on each anniversary of the Agreement’s effective date after the initial term. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, as follows: Section 1. Adopting the First Amendment to the Educational Affiliation Agreement between Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Inc. and Chandler Fire Department. Section 2. Authorizing the Mayor of the City of Chandler to sign the First Amendment to the Educational Affiliation Agreement between Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Inc. and Chandler Fire Department.
