RESOLUTION NO. 5601

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER,
ARIZONA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN AND SUBMIT
AN APPLICATION FOR MODIFICATION OF DESIGNATION OF ASSURED
WATER SUPPLY

WHEREAS, Arizona Department of Water Resources Decision and Order No. 86-002009.0002
designated the City of Chandler, Arizona as having an Assured Water Supply on December 31,
2010, demonstrating sufficient renewable water supplies were acquired to meet current and
committed demands as of December 31, 2010, and projected demands through December 31,
2025; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Order No. 86-002009.0002 the City of Chandler, Arizona desires to
submit an application to the Arizona Department of Water Resources requesting a modification
of designation of assured water supply for the City of Chandler, Arizona to incorporate
additional renewable water supplies acquired to meet projected demands; and

WHEREAS, Arizona Administrative Code Rule 12-15-710.B, requires that a City which is
applying for a modification of an assured water supply designation submit a resolution of the
governing body authorizing the City Manager to sign the application.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona,
as follows:

Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to sign the application, which is on file at the
City Clerk’s office, for the City of Chandler, Arizona to request a modification of
designation of assured water supply pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code Rule
12-15-710.B.

Section2. That the various City officers and employees are hereby authorized and directed to
perform all acts necessary to give effect to this Resolution.
