RESOLUTION NO. 5622

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER,
ARIZONA, APPROVING THE PROGRAM YEAR 2021-2022 CHANDLER
CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE AND EVALUATION
REPORT; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE
TO SUBMIT THE CAPER TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT.

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) requires
Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) entitlement jurisdictions to submit a
Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (“CAPER”) for each program year;
and

WHEREAS, the CAPER provides information to HUD and Chandler residents regarding the
year’s accomplishments and how the projects helped to meet the goals and objectives in the
2020-2025 Consolidated Plan, and the specific accomplishments of Program Year 2021-2022;
and

WHEREAS, the City conducted a public hearing on September 14, 2022 and provided a 15-day
public comment period from August 29, 2022 to September 15, 2022, for the purpose of
receiving written and oral comments on the CAPER; and

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined by reviewing all pertinent information that it is
necessary and in the best interest of the City of Chandler to approve and authorize the submittal
of the Program Year 2021-2022 year-end CAPER to HUD.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona,
as follows:

Section 1. Approves and authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to submit to HUD a
year-end Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report in accordance
with the copy of the report attached and made a part of the record of the meeting
at which this Resolution is approved.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, this
day of September, 2022.
