RESOLUTION NO. 5627

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AN
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHANDLER
AND THE TOWN OF GILBERT.

WHEREAS, the Parties all perform the function of law enforcement within their respective
jurisdictions; and

WHEREAS, the Parties have a need for cooperative law enforcement training operations between
their respective jurisdictions.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, as
follows:

Section |. THAT approval is granted for the Chandler Police Department to participate .in
cooperative law enforcement training with the Gilbert Police Department.

Section 2. THAT the Mayor is authorized to sign the Agreement and the Chief of Police is
appointed agent for the City of Chandler, to administer, execute, and submit all
documents and any other necessary instruments in connection with said program. The
Chief of Police is authorized to approve and execute, on behalf of the City of Chandler,
any such future extensions of this Agreement under the same terms and conditions not
to exceed the duration of the original agreement.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, this day
of September, 2022.
