RESOLUTION NO. 5634 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, ARIZONA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MARICOPA ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS AND THE CITY OF CHANDLER FOR THE CHANDLER PROTECTED BIKE LANES STUDY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $4,560. WHEREAS, the City of Chandler desires to develop a protected bike lane feasibility report; and WHEREAS, the City of Chandler was awarded grant funding from the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) Surface Transportation Block Grant Program Funds in the amount of $75,439.00, with a required $4,560.00 local match for the completion of a feasibility report for protected bike lanes throughout the City of Chandler; and WHEREAS, an active transportation project agreement between the City of Chandler and MAG is required to authorize MAG to manage a contract on behalf of the City, and to authorize the City to pay MAG $4,560.00 to be used to fund the local match portion of the contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, as follows: Section 1. Approving Active Transportation Project Agreement No. 1137A-0C between MAG and the City of Chandler to develop a Chandler protected bike lane feasibility report, and approving a contribution by the City of Chandler of public funds in an amount not to exceed $4,560.00. Section 2. Authorizing the Mayor to sign said agreement on behalf for the City of Chandler. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, this _____ day of October, 2022.
