RESOLUTION NO. 5635 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING A LICENSE AGREEMENT BETWEEN SALT RIVER PROJECT (SRP) AND THE CITY OF CHANDLER AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO CONTINUE THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE PASEO TRAIL ALONG THE SRP CONSOLIDATED CANAL WHEREAS, the United States of America Bureau of Reclamation owns the Consolidated Canal property; and WHEREAS, SRP manages the Consolidated Canal pursuant to contracts with the United States; and WHEREAS, the City constructed the Paseo Trail along the bank of the Consolidated Canal for public use by pedestrians and bicyclists; and WHEREAS, the City is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Paseo Trail pathway and associated improvements; and WHEREAS, a license agreement with SRP is required to authorize the City to conduct operation and maintenance activities along the Consolidated Canal. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, as follows: Section 1. Authorizes the Mayor to sign and execute said license agreement on behalf of the City of Chandler.
