RESOLUTION NO. 5639

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER,
ARIZONA, PERTAINING TO THE ACCEPTANCE OF HOMELAND
SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM AWARDS BETWEEN THE CITY OF
CHANDLER AND THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND
SECURITY.

WHEREAS, the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) wishes to enter into an
Agreement with the City of Chandler for the award of FY 2022 Homeland Security Grant Program
Awards, and

WHEREAS, the City of Chandler, through its Police Department, wishes to provide homeland
security response for the citizens of Chandler and other Arizona communities.

NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona
as follows:

Section I. THAT approval is granted for the Chandler Police Department to participate in the
AZDOHS Homeland Security Grant Program.

Section Il. THAT the Mayor is authorized to sign the Agreements and the Chief of Police is
appointed agent for the City of Chandler, to administer, execute, and submit all
documents and any other necessary instruments in connection with said program.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, this day
of October 2022.
