Approval of Letter of Support for the Week without Violence hosted by the Children’s Benefit Foundation Motion by Vice Chair Lynn Seconded by Commissioner Long MOTION - CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 4. Approval for Presentation at Chandler Unified School District Board meetings throughout school year 2022/2023 to strengthen the partnership with the schools and continue the interactive table activities for February Teen Dating Violence Motion by Commissioner Codkind Seconded by Commissioner Fessel MOTION - CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY DISCUSSION 5. City Council – Domestic Violence Awareness Month proclamation 9/19/22 at 6 PM 6. Light Up Chandler – agreement to draft letter to the City about having lights in October for domestic violence 7. Vice Chair Lynn to speak about the DV Commission at the Military and Veterans Affairs Commission on October 11, 2022 – shared information about the Commission 8. Domestic Violence Event 2022 – discussion of logistics/planning 9. Community Outreach Subcommittee – Social Media for City of Chandler PIO for 2022/2023. Chandler Unified School District Behavioral Health Team and Outreach will meet on September 29, 2022. Discussion about: Art Walk, partner with artists/schools/library. Mayor’s Youth Commission, Teen Town Hall. Life skills as a prevention tool. Healthy Relationships. Boys & Girls Club presentations. The Clothesline Project and Field of Hope to consider for next year. CALENDAR Next Domestic Violence Commission meeting Wednesday, October 12, at 9:00 a.m. at Council Chambers Conference Room - 88 E.
