RESOLUTION NO. 5650 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, 
ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A GRANT 
AGREEMENT WITH THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA) 
TO ACCEPT A GRANT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $350,000 FOR 
THE DESIGN OF THE REHABILITATION OF RUNWAY 4R-22L AT 
CHANDLER MUNICIPAL AIRPORT; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY 
MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE GRANT AGREEMENT 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Chandler (City) owns the Chandler Municipal Airport (Airport); and 
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) periodically programs funds to 
municipal airport facilities through its grant programs; and 
WHEREAS, the FAA requires the City as the Airport Sponsor to sign grant agreements 
accepting said grants; and 
WHEREAS, the FAA notified City Staff that the City is eligible to receive a grant in a sum not 
to exceed $350,000; and 
WHEREAS, the FAA grant will provide funding necessary for the completion of the design for 
the pavement rehabilitation of Runway 4R-22L; and 
WHEREAS, to secure such grant funding, the City will accept the grant offer in a not to exceed 
amount. 
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, 
as follows: 
Section 1. 
That the Mayor of the City of Chandler, the City Manager, or designee, is 
authorized to accept and execute an FAA grant offer and agreement in an amount 
not to exceed $350,000 for the design for the rehabilitation of Runway 4R-22L.
