RESOLUTION NO. 5661

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER,
ARIZONA TO ACCEPT FY2021-22 FINANCIAL AUDIT REPORTS
SUBMITTED BY HEINFELD, MEECH & CO., P.C. AND TO COMPLY WITH
ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES §§ 9-481(H) AND 41-1494.

WHEREAS, the Arizona Legislature enacted HB2906, which became effective on or about
September 29, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Arizona Revised Statute § 41-1494 prohibits a county, city, town, or political
subdivision from certain actions regarding training, orientation, or therapy that presents blame or
judgement based on race, ethnicity, or sex; and

WHEREAS, Arizona Revised Statute § 9-481(H) requires the governing body of a county, city,
town, or political subdivision to have the audit findings presented in a regular meeting without the
use of a consent agenda and to demonstrate compliance with Arizona Revised Statute § 41-1494;
and

WHEREAS, the City Council has received FY2021-22 Financial Audit Reports prepared by
Heinfeld, Meech & Co., P.C.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona,
as follows:

Section 1. The City Council accepts the FY2021-22 Financial Audit Reports presented by
Heinfeld, Meech & Co., P.C.

Section 2. The City Council finds the City of Chandler does not require employees to engage
in training, orientation, or therapy that presents any form of blame or judgment
based on race, ethnicity, or sex as proscribed in Arizona Revised Statute § 41-1494.

Section 3. The City Council finds the City of Chandler does not use public monies for training,
orientation, or therapy that presents any form of blame or judgment based on race,

ethnicity, or sex as proscribed in Arizona Revised Statute § 41-1494.
