REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 
DECEMBER 13, 2022 
 
1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL 
Chair Dalpe called the meeting to order on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 5:00 
p.m.

2. ACTION AGENDA 
 
a. Approval of the Minutes of the Military and Veterans Affairs Commission 
Regular Meeting of November 8 , 2022  
 
Chair Dalpe requested a motion for approval of the minutes for the November 
8, 2022, Military and Veterans Affairs Commission meeting.  Commissioner 
Simon made the motion to approve the minutes of the November 8, 2022, 
minutes.  Commissioner Levinson seconded the motion.

The minutes were approved 6-0 by all Commission members present.  
 
3. DISCUSSION 
 
a. Neighborhood Preservation and Code Enforcement Presentation – Phillip 
Hubbard and Guy Jaques, City of Chandler Neighborhood Services 
 
Guy Jaques, City of Chandler Neighborhood Services Manager and Phillip 
Hubbard, 
Neighborhood 
Services 
Supervisor, 
gave 
a 
presentation 
on 
neighborhood preservation and the code enforcement program for the City.   
 
• 
Code Enforcement includes residential, commercial, graffiti elimination, 
CDBG code inspections, and alley maintenance programs. 
 
• 
Neighborhood programs include For Our City Day, Let’s Pull Together 
Program, and the Neighborhood Advisory Committee. 
 
b. Final Update – Veteran’s Day Event, November 11, 2022, 7:00 p.m. 
 
Mr. Andy Bass, Deputy City Manager provided feedback for the Veteran’s Day 
event including things that went well and areas that could be improved.  
Discussion ensued.  
 
c. Update – Town Hall Event for Chandler Veterans, December 3, 2022 
 
Commissioner Levinson provided feedback for the Veteran’s Day event 
including things that went well and areas that could be improved.  Discussion 
ensued.  
 
d. Service Recognition Event 
 
Commissioner Levinson and Chair Dalpe will be heading this project.  
Additional information forthcoming. 
 
4. MEMBER COMMENTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS 
 
Commission Levinson offered his availability to any upcoming Veteran’s Events.
