RESOLUTION NO. 5666 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, 
ARIZONA, APPROVING THE CITY ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT 
WITH THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (ADOT) TO 
ACCEPT A GRANT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,035,200 FOR 
THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION FOR THE FIRST PHASE OF THE 
EXTENSION OF TAXIWAY B AT THE CHANDLER MUNICIPAL 
AIRPORT; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, 
TO EXECUTE THE GRANT AGREEMENT. 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Chandler (City) owns the Chandler Municipal Airport (Airport); and 
WHEREAS, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) periodically programs funds to 
municipal airport facilities through its grant programs; and 
WHEREAS, the ADOT requires the City as the Airport Sponsor to sign grant agreements 
accepting said grants; and 
WHEREAS, the ADOT notified City Staff that the City is eligible to receive a grant in a sum not 
to exceed $2,035,200; and 
WHEREAS, the ADOT grant will provide funding necessary for the completion of the first 
phase of the extension of Taxiway B; and 
WHEREAS, to secure such grant funding, the City will accept the grant offer in a not to exceed 
amount. 
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona 
as follows: 
Section 1. 
Approves and authorizes the City of Chandler, to accept an ADOT grant offer and 
agreement in an amount not to exceed $2,035,200 for the design and construction 
of the first phase of the extension of Taxiway B. 
Section 2. 
Authorizes the City Manager, or designee, to execute an ADOT grant agreement 
in an amount not to exceed $2,035,200 for the design and construction of the first 
phase of the extension of Taxiway B. 
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, this 23rd day of
