Resolution 5659 for Family Bike Ride

RESOLUTION NO. 5659 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, 
ARIZONA, APPROVING A LICENSE AGREEMENT TO USE A PORTION OF 
THE SRP CANAL FOR THE ANNUAL CITY OF CHANDLER FAMILY BIKE 
RIDE EVENT. 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Chandler desires to conduct the annual City of Chandler Family Bike Ride 
Event on April 1, 2023, with participants using a portion of the Salt River Project Agricultural 
Improvement and Power District (“SRP”) consolidated canal from Germann Road to Chandler 
Boulevard; and 
 
WHEREAS, SRP is willing to license the use of the designated area; and 
 
WHEREAS, the City will use the canal to safely facilitate and conduct the event for the benefit of 
the general public; and 
 
WHEREAS, the City and SRP have negotiated a License Agreement for such purpose. 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, 
as follows: 
 
Section 1. 
Approving the License Agreement between the City of Chandler and SRP for the 
use of the SRP consolidated canal from Germann Road to Chandler Boulevard, 
with an effective date of April 1, 2023.  
 
Section 2. 
Authorizing the Mayor of the City of Chandler to execute the License Agreement 
on behalf of the City of Chandler.
