MINUTES OF THE CHANDLER CULTURAL FOUNDATION SPECIAL EVENTS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING TUESDAY, APRIL 4, 2023 8:00 a.m. PRESENT: Julia Marreel, Sherida McMullan, Erika Castro, Renee Levin, Patti Serrano, Peppur Chambers ABSENT: Alex Palmatier, Jeanne Forbis, Candy Yu, Jennifer Sanchez STAFF: Debbie Rubenstrunk, Judi Johnson, Cynde Cerf, Terri Rettig, Michelle MacLennan GUESTS: None Members of the Chandler Cultural Foundation Special Events Subcommittee convened at the above- stated date and time for a special events committee meeting. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 8:08 a.m. by Renee Levin. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Renee Levin motioned to approve the minutes of the March 7, 2023 meeting. Patti Serrano seconded the motion. The minutes were approved as written. BRIEFING/DISCUSSION ITEMS Tickets: The individual ticket price will be $200 with corporate tables starting at $2,500. Entertainment: Sammy Miller and the Congregation are confirmed for the entertainment and will be doing a New Orleans jazz-themed show. Emcees: Sherida McMullan and Sandra Bassett have been confirmed as Emcees. The committee also discussed asking several people to be honorary chairs. Food, Beverage & Decorating: Robert’s Catering was selected as the caterer. The decorating theme will be French Quarter Jazz. They discussed scanning images of art created in the Vision Kids art classes as table favors that could be bid on. Mystery Boxes: Since the boxes sell so fast, the committee wants to do tiered amounts for the Mystery Boxes: $100, $150 & $300. Debbie will contact each committee member to see what value of mystery boxes they will be providing. General Notes: They talked about reaching out to contacts with the Compadres, BMX, State 48 and Local First. MEMBER COMMENTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS The committee’s next meeting will be on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. With no other business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 9:18 a.m. ____________________________________________________ Judi Johnson, Marketing Coordinator
