RESOLUTION NO. 5673

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF CHANDLER, ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE AWARD OF FY 2023 ANTI-
HUMANTRAFFICKING GRANT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF
EMERGENCY AND MILITARY AFFAIRS (DEMA) GRANT PROGRAM IN
THE AMOUNT OF $499,480.00

WHEREAS, the City of Chandler, through its Police Department, wishes to accept the grant award
from the DEMA; and

WHEREAS, the City of Chandler, through its Police Department, is interested in submitting projects
to be considered for funding in the form of reimbursable grants from the Department of Emergency
and Military Affairs;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona,
as follows:

Section ], THAT approval is granted for the City of Chandler to accept the grant award from DEMA.

Section II, THAT the City Manager is authorized to sign the Agreement and the Chief of Police is
appointed agent for the City of Chandler, to administer, execute, and submit all
documents and any other necessary instruments in connection with said program.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, this day
of June 2023.
