MINUTES OF THE CHANDLER CULTURAL FOUNDATION SPECIAL EVENTS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING TUESDAY, MAY 2, 2023 8:00 a.m. PRESENT: Julia Marreel, Sherida McMullan, Erika Castro, Renee Levin, Patti Serrano, Peppur Chambers, Jeanne Forbis, Jennifer Sanchez ABSENT: Alex Palmatier, Candy Yu STAFF: Debbie Rubenstrunk, Judi Johnson, Cynde Cerf, Terri Rettig GUESTS: Laura Schairer Members of the Chandler Cultural Foundation Special Events Subcommittee convened at the above- stated date and time for a special events committee meeting. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 8:02 a.m. by Julia Marreel. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Jeanne Forbis motioned to approve the minutes of the April 4, 2023 meeting. Renee Levin seconded the motion. The minutes were approved as written. BRIEFING/DISCUSSION ITEMS Tickets & Table Sales: The committee reviewed pending, confirmed table and seat sales. Food, Beverage & Decorating: The decorating theme will be French Quarter Jazz. Patti Serrano will check to see if she can get 60-inch round tablecloths from Serrano’s. Mystery Boxes: Each committee member let Debbie Rubenstrunk know what themed boxes they would be doing and the value of those mystery boxes they will be providing. The deadline for getting the mystery boxes to Debbie was October 4, 2023. Honorary Chair: The committee discussed having Mayor Kevin Hartke, Renee Lopez and Frank Narducci as honorary chairs. Entertainment Update: Sammy Miller and The Congregation will be doing a different show than the public performance the night before. MEMBER COMMENTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS The committee’s next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. With no other business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 9:36 a.m. ____________________________________________________ Judi Johnson, Marketing Coordinator
