A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, 
ARIZONA, 
APPROVING 
AN 
AMENDED 
AND 
RESTATED 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL 
AGREEMENT 
BETWEEN 
THE 
CITY 
OF 
CHANDLER 
AND 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY 
FOR 
RIGHT-OF-WAY 
ASSISTANCE FOR LINDSAY ROAD FROM OCOTILLO ROAD TO HUNT 
HIGHWAY; 
AND 
AUTHORIZING 
THE 
MAYOR 
TO 
SIGN 
THE 
AGREEMENT AND ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE 
CITY OF CHANDLER.  
 
WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Agreement Between Maricopa County and the City of 
Chandler For The Right-of-Way Assistance For Lindsay Road From Ocotillo Road to Hunt 
Highway became effective on April 6, 2022 (the “IGA”); and 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Chandler and Maricopa County wish to amend the IGA to streamline the 
acquisition process and the retention of outside consultants in order to reduce costs and 
accommodate the project schedule; and 
 
WHEREAS, the City is authorized to enter into intergovernmental agreements with other public 
agencies pursuant to Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 11-952. 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, 
as follows: 
 
Section 1. 
Approves the Amended and Restated Intergovernmental Agreement between the 
City of Chandler and Maricopa County for Right-of-Way Assistance for Lindsay 
Road from Ocotillo Road to Hunt Highway in substantially the form approved by 
the City Attorney as attached in Exhibit “A.”  
 
Section 2. 
Authorizes the Mayor of the City of Chandler to execute the Amended and Restated 
IGA on behalf of the City of Chandler.
