AMENDMENT NO. 1 
TO 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT 
BETWEEN 
MARICOPA COUNTY 
ADMINISTERED BY ITS 
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT 
AND  
MARICOPA COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT 
 
I. 
Maricopa County (“County”) administered by its Human Services Department, 
(“Department”), and Maricopa County Community College District (“Subrecipient”) fully 
executed a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (Agreement) on or about January 25, 
2023. The purpose of the Agreement is to provide Maricopa County residents with 
opportunities to advance in their careers through workforce training programs while 
providing wraparound supports that address the barriers to accessing and completing 
training and employment programs, such as childcare and transportation. Top tier training, 
education, and workforce navigation services will be provided to Maricopa County 
residents enrolled in approved programs at the Maricopa County Community Colleges. 
The County and the Subrecipient collectively are referred to as the “Parties” and 
individually as the “Party.” 
 
II. 
The Parties now agree to amend the Agreement through this Amendment No. 1 by revising 
expenditure line items which will reallocate $221,180 from Program Administration fees to 
Program Delivery fees. The reallocation of funds will allow for an increase in recruitment 
efforts to promote the training and employment programs provided under this Agreement. 
The information below detail the changes made to the funding expenditure lines.  
A. 
Revise section 10.0 (Method of Payment) subsection 10.2 in the following 
sub subparagraphs by removing in their entirety and replacing with the 
following: 
10.2.10 
Funding to cover program delivery fees $1,262,746 
($631,373/year) 
10.2.11 
Funding to cover program administration fees $205,692 
($102,846/year) 
B. 
The Agreement funding amount remains unchanged at $6,468,438. 
 
III. 
The Agreement is amended to incorporate the changes contained in this Amendment No. 
1. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect as 
approved and amended as executed by the Parties. 
 
IV. 
The Parties have authorized the undersigned to execute this Amendment No. 1 on their 
behalf.
