In January 2024, fourteen (14) households made twenty (20) reports regarding aircraft activity. Two (2)
households made two (2) noise reports. One (1) household made one (1) report of low-flying aircraft.
Eleven (11) households reported seventeen (17) concerns over aircraft traffic activity. Four (4) of the
fourteen (14) households are repeat complainants.

Noise Report
First complainant made six (6) reports of excessive helicopter traffic over the residence and
neighborhood. Flight tracking data revealed that all aircraft were at or above regulatory
altitudes. Currently collecting data on this residence/neighborhood on helicopter traffic.
Complainants #2, #3, #5, and #9 reported increased helicopter activity and inquired if the traffic
patterns had changed. Flight tracking data revealed that all of the helicopter activity was from
non-based medevac helicopters going to and from the three (3) nearby hospitals. All helicopters
identified were at or above regulatory altitudes.
Fourth complainant reported increased helicopter traffic in south Chandler. Flight tracking
reviewed and all flight school-based aircraft were at or above regulatory altitudes. Complainant
indicated the noise doesn't necessarily bother him but has notice the activity has increased.
Sixth complainant reported increased airplane and helicopter activity and asked if the flight
paths had changed. The residence is not near the established traffic pattern circuits for the
runways. A flight data review for the week prior that most of the aircraft encountered were
returning to CHD or transiting the area at or above regulatory altitudes.
Seventh complainant reported low-flying aircraft over the Lantana Ranch neighborhood. Flight
tracking revealed CHD based training aircraft departing RWY 22L were conducting early
turnouts as authorized by ATC. One aircraft, according to ADS-B tracking indicated an altitude
of approximately 200 feet AGL and climbing. Contacted the management and chief pilots of
both flight schools regarding the reports. Complainant was provided with contact information
for the Scottsdale FSDO. Currently collecting data on this neighborhood for aircraft altitudes
and traffic.
Eight complainant, who’s residence is approximately 8 miles NW reported an increase in jet
aircraft traffic. Flight tracking revealed that this activity was originating from PHX-Sky Harbor.
Provided the complainant with the contract information for that airport.
Tenth complainant reported helicopter traffic over the neighborhood. Flight tracking data
revealed that all aircraft were at or above regulatory altitudes.
Eleventh complainant, who’s residence is approximately 12.3 miles west reported an aircraft
circling the neighborhood many times. Flight tracking data reviewed a CHD based aircraft was
orbiting the area above regulatory altitudes, which was aircraft owner’s residence just a few
blocks away from the complainant. The complainant demanded the contact information for the
FAA, which was provided.
Twelfth complainant reported that aircraft are not following the roadways and are instead flying
over the neighborhoods. Flight tracking data revealed that aircraft at the time of report were
flying at or above regulatory altitudes.
Thirteenth complainant reported helicopter traffic over the neighborhood. Flight tracking data
revealed that all aircraft were at or above regulatory altitudes.
Fourteenth complainant reported loud aircraft flying out of the airport in the late evening. Flight
tracking data revealed two visiting flight training aircraft conducting pattern work, which ended
at approximately 2135 hours.
