Meeting Minutes Chandler Cultural Foundation Regular Meeting April 25, 2024 | 5:30 p.m. Chandler Museum, Saguaro Room 300 S. Consent Agenda 1. March Cultural Foundation Board Meeting Minutes Jeanne Forbis made a motion to approve the meeting minutes from the March 28, 2024, Cultural Foundation Board Meeting. Chris McMullan seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously, 8-0. The minutes were approved as written. Page of 2 3 Action Agenda 2. Approve Event Budgets Ellie Watland made a motion to approve the Event Budgets for Edna Vazquez and Center Stage. Julia Marreel seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously, 9-0. Briefing 3. March Financial Report Julia Marreel reviewed the extended March Financial Report. 4. Needs Assessment for Expanded Facilities Update AMS Planning & Research was selected to be the consulting firm. There will be two phases to the Needs Assessment. More information will follow as the project progresses. 5. Visual Arts Update Peter Bugg showed a visual arts presentation which highlighted reviewed current and upcoming exhibitions, public art, and traffic box projects. The presentation also included programming information, art socials, and more. 6. AEP6 Update Thanks to everyone who participated in the events held this week. There was great community support. 7. Profit and Loss Reports Terri Rettig reviewed the Profit & Loss statements for The Righteous Brothers: Featuring Bill Medley and Bucky Heard, La Marisoul & The Love Notes Orchestra, North: The Musical, The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Wailin’ Jennys, Trinity Irish Dance, and Proud Tina; A Tina Turner Tribute. Friends Announcements Jane Bjornstad announced there were 8 events since the last board meeting, which equated to 355 volunteer hours. There are 149 active volunteers. Thank you to GarWen Jackson and Janet McNaught for serving on the Friends Steering Committee, and a warm welcome to Lori Rasmussen and Denise Brice Walker. Member Comments/Announcements Judi Johnson, Marketing & Communications Analyst is retiring, and Anna Camino, Management Assistant, is taking early retirement. David Woodruff is stepping down as Chair. E-mail nominations to Michelle Mac Lennan by Friday, May 3, 2024. If you are nominating someone, remember to speak to that person before nominating them. Self-nominations are also being accepted. Call Mac Lennan if you have any questions. Election of Officers will be on the board agenda for the board meeting scheduled on May 23, 2024.
